Dan Power Surreal-Absurd Sampler

every night i lie in bed and lie and wait until my mind logs off … until my hardware powers down … i don’t know where i go at night or where i go during the day … i think this lack of knowledge is evident in my writing … i think these poems are a good approximation of my thoughts ... i think these poems act like half-finished self-portraits ... they’re copy and paste ... actually i think these poems are like pools, or shiny dark screens, waiting to be prodded ... to be looked into … looked out of … everything here might be a reflection … we reflect our minds,  our minds reflect the world, and the world reflects us … we can’t see anything except for light … it doesn’t matter what side of the mirror we’re on ...

Bio

Dan Power is a poet from the Midlands, currently living between Dundee and Lancaster. He’s also the founding editor of the visual poetry outfit Trickhouse Press. Recent publications include Memory Foam, a collaboration with Chat-GPT3 (Doomsday Press, 2023) and SELECTED DREAMS, a cyber-space graphic novel (Steel Incisors, 2021).
