Submissions are closed for all sections except Images (visual poetry, surreal images, asemic writing, collages).
Turnaround time is two calendar months.
We receive a lot of submissions. Sometimes there are delays, but we try to post pieces within two months of their acceptance.
All submissions are automatically considered for Mercurius’s annual print anthology.
REPRINTS ACCEPTED so long as they have only appeared in print form (i.e. nowhere online). We like to support indie press authors by publishing excerpts from their books.

Images should be high quality jpgs.
Please put in the email subject line “Images, your name, sub”. For example, “Images, John Donne, Sub”.

Please include a “context” paragraph/artistic statement. Mercurius would like to tempt all kinds of readers into reading poetry or appreciating experimental art. Adding some context helps orientate readers. Part of our mission is to be relevant and accessible.

Our publication takes the form of a monthly newsletter. If you submit a piece, please add your email address to the publication-newsletter:
