Highlights from the 2021 Miami Book Fair

Today, my Mercurial Friends, I will showcase some poets whom I filmed and interviewed at the 2021 Miami Book Fair.

Among the excellent names are the National Poetry Series Winners of the 2020 Open Competition: Devon Walker-Figueroa, Amanda Moore, Teresa K. Miller, Trevor Ketner, W. J. Herbert.

There is also work (Twice Alive) from the Pulitzer Prize winner Forrest Gander, and a veritable forest of exceptional books:

Nebraska, Kwame Dawes
No Ruined Stone, Shara MacCallum
Blue Rose, Carol Muske-Dukes
Asylum, Jill Bialosky
Boomerang/Bumeran, Achy Obejas
Sally Keith, River House

The Miami Book Fair is an excellent way of taking the pulse of the US publishing world. I was particularly pleased by the environmental concerns expressed by most of these poets.

Poetry makes warm company. Let their verses open doors for you, dear reader.
